The International Order of the Rainbow for Girls Scholarship
2026 Scholarships will open June 1, 2025! Deadline: September 1, 2025.
Eligibility
- Candidates must be active members in good standing with a current Oregon Assembly of the IORG or a majority member up to the age of 26.
- Both first-year and continuing students are eligible for scholarships
Scholarship Awards
- Scholarship(s) will be for one (1) calendar year.
- Awarded at Grand Assembly in October for an award period of January – December.
- Scholarships may be used for study at an accredited two or four-year institution or accredited vocational/trade school in the amount determined by the Scholarship Committee and ratified by the State Executive Committee.
- An annual cap of $3,000 in awards to a recipient in a given year not to exceed a maximum lifetime cap of $5,500.
- Multiple scholarships may be awarded to a single applicant.
There are seven different scholarships available.
- Oregon Grand Assembly – awards up to $1,500, multiple awards available
- Hazel Graham – 1 award of $500 – $750 must be used at a public Oregon accredited post-secondary institution only
- Verna Gray – award up to $500, subject to availability of funds, one per year
- Nacheff Family – $1,500, one per year, for use in-state and at a public post-secondary institution
- Ethna Higby – award up to $250 for achievement or study in Music or the Performing Arts
Examples: Musical Performance, Music or Art Therapy, Religious Music Director, Theatre, Dance - Amy Altree Memorial – award(s) up to $2,000
- Nadine Beck – award up to $1,500 for study in Nursing/Medical Field
Examples: Nursing, RN, CNA, CMA, LNA, PA, NP, Medical Field (X-ray tech, ultrasound tech, etc.)
